People are perplexed by stories that have appeared
in the recent press of clergy abuse and church cover up's.
The stories prove that people have their
voices silenced by the church hierarchy who find a self-important
perception of power in their positions?
This is a country of free speech; freedom of speech is what our parliament
is all about; it is the basis of democracy, it is a constitutional right as well as a human right.
This site provides
a platform for people who have been or are being abused or intimidated by the churches to speak out.
Clergy
Watch will at all times to work within an ethical framework and uphold the law, and the rights of all citizens.
We
will not publish defamatory material, vexatious or abusive material and we will cooperate fully with the legal authorities,
whilst at all times maintaining the high and expected standards of confidentiality.
Our mission is to help people who have had their voices silenced or who have been unfairly
treated by the churches of any denomination.
