A book by Ann Pyke

Ann Pyke has been compiling a journal of her candidature for the ordained Ministry for at least five years. From her very first sense of calling many years ago when she was in her early twenties, and not even a churchgoer; through to her insatiable urge to candidate in 2001;to her candidature; her battle with depression;and the shameful ordeal of battling a far worse enemy; the ordained clergy!

'Friendly to everybody, but nobody's friend', tells of Ann Pyke's life, her battles with depression and her experiences of the inner sanctum of the Christian Churches today.

Ann's writings will be added to this page as they are written.

Actually not very much can be added to this page at this stage. This is because much of the writing is controversial. It is best at this stage to add actual letters and emails. Items that cannot be disputed.

Below is the first one but each week more and more will be added until the book takes shape without the written text.

Quite frankly David Deeks didn't have the time

I always invite people mentioned in any intended publication to comment. I never receive any replies and I wonder if they are waiting in the shadows to pounce because inviting advance comments does not negate proceedings in defamation.

I bet they think that I am naive and assume that I have covered myself against any such proceedings by showing people in advance.

All I was advised was that it is 'best practise' to be courteous and give advanced notice of intended publication and to allow people to comment or object.

In fact I will never print defamatory material so if David Gamble and the 'others' are waiting in the shadows to pounce, they will have a long wait.
